| Extreme Makeover Home in Suffield, CT is now complete! |
| On the morning of June 30, 2009 the Hill family in Suffield, CT, once again, heard a knock on the door. But when they opened it this time, there were no tv cameras or celebrities shouting into a bullhorn! ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" television shows' cast and crew were long gone. This time it was Dustbusters' duct cleaning technicians, Lester Lauziere and Vadim Pavlyuk (VP), who had arrived to clean their new homes' heating and air conditioning systems barely a day after construction had been completed. To ensure the job would be done by days end the two willing techs woke up at 4:30AM in order to arrive by 6:30AM. They could not leave the house so I drove out with fresh grinders and enjoyed lunch with them in the Hill familys' new back yard, nice! It was a long day as they did not get back until around 7:00PM. Both of them are to be commended on a job well done. Thanks guys! As for the Hill family, let's just say they are looking forward to this Forth of July.

| NEWS: DUSTBUSTERS GOES GREEN! |
| WIN, WIN! DUSTBUSTERS RECYCLES! A growing part of Dustbusters' business involves removal of fiberglass-based products such as building insulation batts and ceiling tiles from buildings. In the past this material ended up in the landfill. Now, thanks to a local recycler, good quality used building materials are donated, inventoried and tagged for re-use. Buyers of the recycled product get the material they need at reduced cost and Dustbusters' customers are spared the cost of disposal!

CHEMICALS, CHEMICALS AND LESS CHEMICALS! Dustbusters is in the process of evaluating products which contain no VOC's or are low VOC compounds to replace products currently used in its daily operations. Dustbusters has recently completed their first job using a low VOC product to seal the joints of a heating and air conditioning duct system located in an attic. First the fiberglass-based duct insulation was removed from the exterior surface of the duct. Then the duct sealer was applied to all joints. During this process a 4" gap was discovered in the main supply duct which was repaired then sealed. Finally, the duct was reinsulated using a non-fiberglass-based product.
BONUS ENERGY $$$ SAVINGS! The large gap coupled with the leaky joints throughout the system probably contributed to the homeowner's unusually high heating bills since a major portion of heat was lost to the attic space!

AIR FILTERS. WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW MAY HURT YOU! Many air filters contain VOC's such as formaldehyde, which contribute to poor indoor air quality. Most people do not find this offensive. However, some people are so sensitive to these chemicals that they experience discomfort. To combat this, Dustbusters offers a service whereby filters are pre-offgassed ("neutralized") before they are installed in place in the heating and/or air conditioning system. Dustbusters' customers can now breathe easier from the day the new filter is installed. In addition, you may be interested to know that products are available which can be retrofitted to most systems which work to remove VOC's and other indoor pollutants from your ENTIRE home or business, thereby further improving indoor air quality.

Investigative practices among some trade associations at times seem questionable since many are dependant upon hefty annual membership fees which fund heavily staffed organizations and are paid for by member contractors.
